Community, Doctor, and Facebook: MEDICAL MIRACLE: MAN'S BRAIN TUMOR VANISHES WITHOUT SURGERY Several doctors are dumbfounded after finding a patient’s suspected malignant brain tumor disappeared without surgical treatment, giving the patient a renewed sense of hope. CBS Sacramento reported Friday that the neurosurgeons and specialists in charge of treating Paul Wood, a patient from Lodi, California, are scratching their heads after brain scans revealed his tumor disappeared the day before he was scheduled for surgery. Wood, a father and volunteer in his community, noticed something was amiss several months ago when he could barely stand up straight. “I had massive headaches, I couldn’t walk down the hallway without holding on to the walls,” he said. The Lodi man went to his primary care doctor, who referred him to a neurosurgeon at UC San Francisco. The neurosurgeon said his brain was bleeding, but radiologists said there was evidence of a tumor. Wood, who considers himself a man of faith, turned to his community for support. But what he did not expect was the overwhelming amount of prayer and support for him on social media. “My phone is blowing up, my Facebook is prayer after prayer, all over California,” said Wood. When doctors took another brain scan the day before his operation, they canceled the surgery because the tumor had disappeared. Wood said it was nothing short of a “miracle” from God. “It’s a miracle and that is the way God planned it,” he said. Wood’s doctor struggled to explain why the tumor disappeared, admitting that there are some things “that we can’t explain.” “We do tests and we have medical technology and we try to come up with some conclusion… sometimes things happen that we can’t explain,” said Dr. Richard.

So infuriating! 😡😡 FuckICE "U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided 77 businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area this week, following through on a threat to crack down on so-called sanctuary cities. Last month, ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan, President Trump's pick to run the agency, vowed to increase efforts in California cities that limited the amount of local law enforcement help for ICE agents. ICE said it sent worker audit notices to businesses in San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento, as well as other sites in Northern California. The businesses have three days to produce their hiring records. In early January, ICE agents conducted audits at six 7-Eleven stores in the Bay Area. Gov. Easter, Memes, and American: As part of his annual holiday pardons, the governor of California pardoned Rottanak Kong and Mony Neth, two Cambodian refugees facing deportation who were recently arrested as part of a federal immigration roundup. California Governor Pardons Two Immigrants Caught in Raids in Huge Middle Finger to Trump splinternews.com Cc @realdonaldtrump 🖕🏽🖕🏼🖕🏿🖕🏾 As part of his annual holiday pardons, the governor of California pardoned two immigrants who were arrested in immigration raids earlier this year. Gov. Jerry Brown recently pardoned or reduced sentences for some 150 individuals convicted of crimes. Among those pardoned were Rottanak Kong and Mony Neth, two Cambodian refugees facing deportation who were recently arrested as part of a federal immigration roundup. The “full and unconditional pardons” for Kong and Neth comes as the Trump administration justifies increased immigration enforcement by claiming immigrants who have been convicted of crimes, even nonviolent offenses, pose an immediate danger to American citizens and should be targeted for deportation. But Brown said Kong and Neth have already served their time and paid their debts to society, essentially saying the two immigrants don’t need to be doubly punished by being deported. Kong and Neth’s pardons mark the second time Gov. Brown has pardoned immigrants convicted of serious crimes, according to The Sacramento Bee. During his Easter pardons earlier this year, the governor pardoned two veterans who had been deported to Mexico. So far, an immigration judge has allowed one of those veterans the rare right to return the United States after being deported. Source: Splinter
