This post is wack cause Obama was full strength imperialism if anything Trump’s (unintentionally) impeding the US from exercising its might
i agree except with the last part cus Trump is expanding war in a few more countries as well as increasing drone strikes by hundreds of percentage points so what am i missing?  

wanting to tank NATO, alienating European allies, tearing up the Iran deal, picking a (more overt) fight with China , leaving the UN human rights council, etc 

That may be true but there is again many counterfactuals to this narrative that trump is impeding the US’s ability to exercise its might. He wants to invade Venezuela and had to be talked out of it even tried to convince the Colombian President and even mentioned it in meetings despite his aides pleading him not to , he has warhawks as advisors who will, mark my words enter us in more wars or proxy wars, The Syria bombing and military efforts, he may be alientatint NATO but he also had their troops stationed around Russia’s borders despite liberals claiming he’s soft on Russia, and again he has increased military actions in more countries and increased drone strikes so tearing up deals doesn’t mean much when we are still the military bully of the world killing more innocent brown civilians then before. I hate Obama but still . what you said is partly true by establishment PR friendly standards and yes he’s scaling back on some things (some which are good like environmental agreements). he’s throwing over the chess game that establishment types set up but he’s actually much worse in other areas. I don’t think he’s damaging US imperialism but just taking it in a different direction.
